Not Spring, Love or Cherry Blossom (Part 2)

Day 2 (April 18, 2014)

We started the day by selca in our tiny room LOOL, sadly the guesthouse didn't provide breakfast so we went to the stall near subway station to eat kimbab. The owner even gave us the free oden, thank you so much!

Our first stop is Gyeongbokgung Palace, we woke up a lil late so we just arrived there around 11. Actually the palace was only 1 stop from our subway station but we were too lazy to walk. Because it's friday, a lots students from kindergarten to highschool had study tour there. The palace was located in the middle of bussiness district in Seoul. The guard stand like a statue in front of Gwanghamun Square. Actually there were a lots palace beside Gyeongbkgung, but we decided to only buy the ticket for Gyeongbokgung. Since this palace is one of the hottest tourist area in Seoul so the area was fully package not only with overseas tourists but a lots Korean also came to this place.

map of the Palace

Next, we across the street to take a photo of famous Sejong King statue, yep you are not counted going to Seoul if you haven't taken a picture with this. Even EXO were going there too in Showtime hahahha

We also went to Sejong museum that located below the statue. While we walking we found a store that allow all tourist to wear Hanbok FOR FREE. This place is near the Sejong Statue, you just need to walk down a little. They helped us to wear the hanbook too!

Taking photo with the owner store and her daughter

We also had a chance to see the guard change ceremony in front of Gwanghamun Square at 01.00 PM KST. But so bad i forgot to take the video. We went back to Insadong to have lunch in Claypot Sujebi. This food is nowhere to be found in Indonesia, so I need to taste it here. It looked like a traditional restaurant with a lot claypot as a decoration. This place was broadcasted in MBC back then, they put the caption picture of the show in the restaurant wall. I actually don't have any idea what is sujebi like and taste, all the menu was in hangul and the owner couldn't speak english. LOOOOL, so we just randomly picked some food. I love sujebi, it was korean traditional soup filled with dough flakes and others vegetable. The soup taste really nice, and i love the kimchi there. It tasted different with kimchi in korean restaurant in  Jakarta.

We were walking along the Insadong to buy some souvenir and clothes. I found the cute scarf store with only 5,000 Won per scarf, I also get a cute pink-white stripes sweater only 10,000 Won. We tried the V shape ice cream too. We continue our destination to Ewha Women University. The stores was along the street to the university. I had to say the store in this are has the cutest and the cheapest things in Seoul. Huhu I wished I had chance to study in Edae so I can go there everyday. My friend got the brown coat for only 43,000 Won. The university has a beautiful scenery. *yes I just love being here*

After bought some clothes we were heading to Hongdae and visited Hello Kitty Cafe hahaha, I guess my itinerary were too mainstream :P the cafe was super duper cute. If you are a hello kitty lover I suggest you to visit here someday. It has two floors, we decided to take the upper floor because it more quiet. The waffle and the drinks were decorate with hellokitty as well. Sadly we only spent a lil time in Hongdae because I just realized that the restaurant I want to go isn't located in Hongdae area.
Yes I went to Infinite's LEE SUNGYEOL's Restaurant---> BBQ Chicken. Huhu my choding runs a restaurant T_T. It actually a franchise restaurant, like the one that Chanyeol's mum had (Vivapolo). And I had a feeling that all the costumers there were Inspirits (infinite fans). Because when The Chaser performance in Mcountdown appeared in TV all of them were quietly screaming and watching the performance. I ask to the servant, where is Yeol and she said that Yeol was busy lately, and yes month later Infinite had comeback with Last Romeo. We ordered Original Chicken and Pizza.

chicken served with fries and nachos

 The pizza tasted nice :9

LEE SUNGYEOL CEO-NIM *screamssss*

When we went back to guesthouse we took the wrong subway line, but the miracle was I FOUND OH SEHUN 21 BIRTHDAY SUPPORT BANNER. Forgive my shameless action below, I took a lot photo of that. Before I only saw that banner on twitter and didn't even thought to find the banner because it was inside the train. I luckily accidentally found the right train >< here come my favorite sehun <3

and yes i sat below the banner HAHAHHA

Here is the calculation for Day 2 :

Breakfast : KRW 2,000
Gyeongbokgung Palace entry fee: KRW 3,000
Lunch at Insadong: KRW 7,000
Hello Kitty Cafe : KRW 4,000
Dinner at Sungyeol's resto : KRW 13,600 *yes expensive*

Not Spring, Love or Cherry Blossom (Part 1)

Hello Saturday ;)

I’m going to share all of my journey in Seoul, South Korea on April 16-22, 2014. I prepared the itinerary, booking hotel, counting expected budget, making visa all by myself.

First, let me share my experience managing visa to Korea. After surfing in the internet, all people said that it’s easy to make visa to Korea. We don’t need any minimum fund in the bank account as long as we have enough money for the living cost during staying there. So, I just need to prepare all the requirement, and don’t forget to prepare copy of booking airplane ticket, booking hotel, and itinerary + expected budget (though they said they don’t need it). The week when I wait for my visa was the most torturing week I’ve ever had in my life (lol lebay). And finally I got my visa hehehe..

A week before my trip, my friend showed me a message that our flight schedule changed. I supposed to go back to Indonesia on 16.00 pm, but it changed to 20.00 pm. Okay so I need to wait on LCCT 5 hours -__-
Three of us had a final meeting to complete our itinerary haha, we were so excited back then. Even we had a dinner in Mujigae:D (warming up before meeting Koreans)

AND FINALLY THE DAY THAT WE’VE BEEN WAITING FOR HAS COME. We met in Airport on 6pm, yeah 2.30 hours before our flight schedule kkk. The flight delayed around 15-20 minutes, but we were still waiting patiently.
At 11.30 pm (Malay time) we arrived in LCCT, well long time no see you (after two years). We planned to buy mineral water first in airport because buy it on plane is more expensive. But a sudden voice shouted “LAST CALL AIRASIA TO SEOUL”, we turned our head to the voice and ran there. And that immigration person said “Oh you come from Indonesia, that’s why you are the last”. Oh wow so Indonesian are popular for being late everywhere ya..

I changed my seat with other Indonesian so I can sit closer to Mel and Ci Karin. Luckily the person beside me is a Korean Oppa LOOOL and beside him is Korean Unnie. So the Oppa had the newest Samsung Laptop, watched National Geographic in Korean and the Unnie had her Samsung Note 3 watched Korean Drama without English Subbed, meanwhile I only had Samsung Grand watched EXO :D I was trying to sleep but I couldn’t (I even ate sleep pill but it didn’t work). It was 3 am and I still listened to the music. I was trying to sleep  but I still couldn’t sleep. I ended up only slept for 2 hours. We landed around 08.00 AM KST and the pilot informed that now is 8 degrees outside. I bawled my eyes out and thought how cold it was.
I FINALLY ARRIVED IN INCHEON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

And EXO were welcoming me HAHA

We had breakfast before going out, i bought the legend banana uyu and chicken rice burger. While enjoying my breakfast we watched the TV in airport and just found out about the Sewol Tragedy. People were gathering and commenting in korean, huhu i was really in Korea *sobs/proud*

After that, we were looking for the bus airport to Jongno, the bus cost 10,000 Won and it only took 1.5 hours to Jongno. The bus really comfy, i was attracted to the scenery outside. Cherry blossom were everywhere, so beautiful

We arrived at Banana Backpackers Guesthouse around 01PM, okay lemme tell you that we had countless get lost in Seoul, but thankful to God that Korean are freaking nice people, eventhough sometimes their english aren't good enough they still help us to find the way, they even use map in their phone to help us. We used the triple room for 3 person with bathroom inside. The rates was 70,000 Won per night. The room had TV, aircon, hairdryer, and provide towel. The guest house wasn't located on the tourist area, so the surrounded area was very quiet at night, but i love it!

Our first destination was N Seoul Tower, we bought T-Money first in the nearby 7-11. We arrived in Myeongdong station and our stomach starts to growl, wow it's already 3PM there, we stop on a Korean family restaurant. We were the only costumer there because it already passed lunch time. We had some grill beef and korean pancake *i forgot the name*. The beef taste nice :3 we only order 2 main dishes because we know korean portion is big. Then, we took the cable car to the Tower. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to explore the observatory because Mel and Ci Karin need to go to Myeongdong to watch Nanta Show. We only took photo on the love lock.

 i found EXO's name kkk

I was thinking to go to Apgujong area while waiting Mel and Ci Karin until 7PM, but since we really depend on wifi, I couldn't go too far in only 2 hours, so I just stayed at Starbucks. I still remember when I asked the wifi password to the server, they said that the pasword was only for Koreans. It really didn't make sense since this was international store in Tourist Area. Luckily, I still got the wifi signal from the next restaurant.

We had korean street food for our dinner and the seller knew some indonesian word, they said "cantik" to us looool, we don't need you sweet word ahjussi, we need more food :p

Myeongdong is heaven for K-pop fans like me. The store always play kpop music, i kept humming while walking, especially for Nature Republic, they always play Growl loool i kept said eurerong eurerong~~~~

We went back to guesthouse around 10pm. Lemme sum up the expense for the first day.

Intro

Okay I'm back as blogger.
Actually I already had one blogspot, but too bad I forgot the password.
This was my last blog. Too sad because the blog was using my full name and i lost it :"(
Two years has passed, before I was only a college student, but now I am an employee in one of Japan's company.
The last post on my previous blog was about 2PM's concert in 2011 and now they are coming back to the town on December 05 in Istora. As much as I want to meet Taec's again but the ticket price is too expensive. Haha i just spent a lots money on EXO last September (okay i will write about it too later). I need to save money (OH that's one of my biggest problem).
I also wrote that "my passion is going to Korea" and I MADE IT *yayyy*

I WENT TO SEOUL LAST APRIL 16-22, 2014

Though i need to wait a year after I bought the plane ticket but it MUCH WORTH TO WAIT. I'm going to write my Seoul Journey in the next post.

Its already November, two months to go before next year. Heey 2014 is a very precious-unforgettable-meaningful to me. I need to be thankful to God because I've done many things I always dream of on this year.
I can fly to Seoul in 2014
I can meet EXO(11) in 2014
I spent my 24th birthday in overseas in 2014

Thank you so much God.

Let's start my journey in this new page :)
